What We Love About Working Here
My name is Lucy, and I began my career as a veterinary technician, driven by my love for animals. While I cherished that work, I realized I needed a career path that would allow me to support my family, especially my two beautiful boys, and provide opportunities for growth and stability.
I was referred to David Oase CPA at a time when the firm was expanding and looking for a main receptionist who was eager to grow with the company. I was interested in that opportunity, and fortunately, they were interested in me. From the start, I was given the chance to learn quickly about tax obligations and laws, supported by a strong team with many experienced members who were ready to retire. It was inspiring to see their dedication and the knowledge they had gained over the years, and I was eager to follow in their footsteps.
Working at David Oase CPA has been the best work environment I’ve ever experienced. David is not only kind and intelligent, but he has a unique ability to educate others, leaving them empowered and happy to return. Hi, I’m Vanessa, and I started at David Oase CPA as a part-time receptionist during tax season. I initially joined hoping to further my growth, building on my previous experience in collections and record keeping. What began as a seasonal opportunity quickly became something much more meaningful.
Working here opened the door for me to learn and grow while helping our clients. I found great joy in assisting with tax-related matters, understanding obligations, laws, and helping clients avoid unexpected tax issues. David and Chad have a unique way of educating clients so that no one feels blindsided, and that truly inspired me.
Their guidance sparked my passion to learn more and to become part of the solution. With their encouragement, I joined webinars and classes to expand my knowledge. Over time, this led me to my current role as Client Excellence Coordinator, where I serve as a bridge between our clients and the firm.
In this role, I help ensure clients receive accurate information and timely support. I also oversee that their books remain accurate and up to date, while providing access to tools that educate and empower them in managing their business. It’s an honor to serve as that connection and help create a seamless, supportive experience for our clients year-round.
